MallorcaLeads strengthens Mallorca as the epicentre of professional tourism in the Mediterranean.

Mallorca has once again proven why it stands among the most competitive MICE destinations in the Mediterranean. The seventh edition of the MallorcaLeads International Workshop MICE in Mallorca, held from October 29 to 31 in the municipality of Calvià, brought together international agencies and local business event suppliers in an event that combined sustainability, innovation, and authentic experiences. Over three dynamic days, the island strengthened its position as a benchmark in meetings, incentive trips, and corporate event tourism.

Organised by MallorcaLeads with the support of the Fundació Turisme Responsable de Mallorca and the Calvià Town Council through the Fundació Calvià 365, the workshop has become an essential meeting point for MICE professionals seeking versatile, sustainable destinations with top-quality infrastructure.

An opening with institutional presence in a unique setting

The event began with an elegant welcome evening at the Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa 5* Hotel (a World of Hyatt), inspired by the concept “Heritage in Motion.” The ceremony featured the participation of Calvià’s Mayor, Juan Antonio Amengual; Jaime Mora, General Director of Tourism and Communications of Calvià Town Council; Alejandro Garrido, the host hotel’s Director; and Asun Prats, CEO of MallorcaLeads.

The seaside cocktail reception served as a meeting point for agencies from Sweden, Germany, and Spain, as well as local MICE suppliers. This first gathering set the tone for the program, promoting sustainable, authentic event tourism rooted in the true essence of Mallorca.

Three days of networking, sustainability and destination immersion

The workshop’s core program unfolded over three days, combining professional networking, meetings, corporate activities, and experiential sessions to showcase the destination’s diversity. One of the most memorable moments was the route through the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, carried out as part of a sustainable mobility iPad Challenge.

Thanks to ROIG Mobility & Experiences and LifeXperiences, participants explored iconic landscapes in premium electric vehicles. This initiative allowed guests to rediscover Mallorca from a responsible perspective—integrating nature, innovation, and teamwork—a perfect example of how the island is embracing a sustainable MICE tourism model.

An unforgettable gala dinner and a finale with local flavour

The core day concluded with a spectacular gala dinner at Finca Son Mir, inspired by the theme “La Nit de les Ànimes” (Night of the Souls). Renowned Fosh Catering and the live performance by Rumbabros, in collaboration with LOMUSIC, created a magical atmosphere celebrating Mallorca’s talent and creativity. The event combined gastronomy, music, and tradition, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.

The workshop wrapped up at Gastroteca Mauricio, where hosted buyers enjoyed a lunch centred on local produce. This gastronomic experience reinforced the importance of the island’s culinary identity and its key role within today’s MICE offering.

With this seventh edition, the MallorcaLeads International Workshop confirms once again that Mallorca is far more than a sun-and-beach destination.
