In the southeast of Mallorca, facing the sea and surrounded by olive and orange trees, this magnificent historic estate is exclusively for groups and offers a unique setting for corporate stays and activities (meetings, presentations, conferences, teambuildings, retreats) with absolute privacy. Well communicated, only 40 minutes from Palma airport.

The first historical reference about Possessió de s’Horta dates back to 1329. The vast terrain of “de Marina”, as known by 14th century, was a rural property dedicated most of its history to agricultural activity (1.700 hectares).
Its apogee came between the 18th and 19th centuries, although the first part of the 20th century was particularly flourishing due to the intense wine trade between Mallorca and France, truncated when devasting phylloxera reached the island.
It belonged to the same family, generation after generation, through almost four centuries. A new property parcelled it at the beginning of the XX century, reducing its extension to the current dimension. The large size of the main building added to the fact of being a real unoccupied state satisfied to become a military headquarter for an artillery regiment from 1936 until the early fifties. From this time on it kept as entire abandoned property. In 1994, acquired by the current owner, a rigorous refurbishment began, restoring and recovering its original structure and elements and providing it with all the elements of comfort and style that make it a unique experience throughout the year.

The 20 suites and double rooms, all different and with their proper name, have views of the sea or the mountain (Castell de Santueri), and are distributed between the main building of 3 floors and 3.000 m2, and the annex buildings of 1.000 m2.

The acceses to the interior retain their character intact, with porches in the shade, “patios” with characteristic Mallorcan arches and details that speak of the past in each corner.

The ground floor houses the Gran Celler/dining room with its original vaults, and two main rooms for meetings and activities:

-Sa Capella, a former chapel, transformed into a 70 m2 multi-purpose room, equipped with underfloor parquet flooring for greater comfort, and also suitable for fitness and yoga. It has a projector with a large screen and the possibility of different set-ups (chairs or tables).

The 85 m2 Tramuntana Room can also be used as a multi-purpose area for games (table tennis, table football…), lounge area, and music/discotheque during the afternoon/evening.

In the outside building, the 50 m2 Mahala Room has a screen/monitor, whiteboards and large tables with built-in devices for connecting computers.

This area also houses the gymnasium.

Other rooms of varying sizes complete the set of spaces for meetings and events, including the outdoor areas: the Paseo de las Palmeras, and the Gran Patio.

Part of the two hectares of the estate is occupied by an arbequina olive grove, registered in the D.O. Oli de Mallorca. Most of our oil production is for our own consumption and as a gift to our customers.
The olive trees are bordered by an indoor circuit for running or cycling.
The swimming pool and solarium are next to the orchard with fruit trees and aromatic plants.

In an environment of rural and seaside villages that keep intact the charm of the island, it allows total privacy with access to all services and activities. Rural ways and quiet roads lead to tradicional sports harbors (Portocolom at 4 km, Cala d’Or at 6 km, Portopetro at 8 km) beaches and coves (Cala Marçal at 3 km, Cala Sa Nau at 4 km, Cala Ferrera at 4,5 km, Cala Mondragó at 8 kms,…) and an 18-hole golf course at 1,5 km (Vall d’Or).
