Real Club Náutico de Palma offers its rooms for meetings, corporate events, product showrooms or cultural events. We have a long experience organizing very important social and sportive events not only in the national scene but also in the international.
Our available rooms are:

• Sala Magna:
Ideal for concerts, conferences, project presentations, cocktails, corporate or institutional events… Sala Magna is a perfect place to present company products or as promotional platform for customers. This is the main place during events like Copa del Rey or Palmavela, because very important companies shows their products in stands. For his special configuration and acoustic. This room is equipped with air conditioning, microphone, loudspeakers, projector and screen.

• Sala Tramuntana:
Exclusive room for meeting or presentations. The room is equipped with projector, screen, CD player and sound system.

• Sala Prensa:
Ideal place for meetings, conferences or cocktails. It is a illuminated room with Port views.

TRADITION, SPORT AND TOURISM
Real Club Nautico de Palma is one of the most important sportive and social entities in Spain. Is an organization with nearly 2000 family members and furthermore it had been recently rewarded by Boot Exclusive magazine as one of the best Harbors in the world.
Since its foundation, at the end of the 1940s, RCNP has been characterized by its sportive and social function, and moreover it has been the undisputed referent of the nautical activity in Mallorca, because it’s has been the promoter of some of the most important regattas in Europe. For instance: Copa del Rey, Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofía, Palmavela or Ciutat de Palma, which is the oldest sportive event in Baleares.
RCNP enjoys a wonderful setting, it’s just a few minutes away from the city center of the Cosmopolitan Palma de Mallorca, and it has modern facilities that can accommodate one thousand recreational yachts. RCNP has become an unavoidable place to visit for those nautical tourists who visit our Island looking for the Mediterranean Essences.

A bit of history: the beginning
Real Club Nautico de Palma was founded in 1948, when two clubs of Palma: Club de Regatas (founded in 1891 and the oldest club in Mallorca) and Club España (founded in 1919) merged to become in the Club : that we know today.

We know that before the fusion, both clubs organized frequently regattas for small boats and vela Latina llauts which are the classical handmade boats of the Mediterranean Sea.

One of the most famous regattas organized by Club de Regatas was “Vuelta a Mallorca” which today is organized by RCNP for complete crew (familiar courses) and A3 without layovers (for leading boats).

Real Club Nautico de Palma is consider the doyen Club of the Islands because it come from Club de Regattas, but it in fact is dated in 1948, because this year it was registered in the entry of Sportive Associations and it published his first statutes.

Passion for Sport

Sport is the reason to be for Real Club Náutico de Palma, it programs more than 30 regattas per year, including some of the most prestigious sailing competitions of around the world.

Trofeo Princesa Sofia is celebrated at the Spring arrival in Bay of Palma since 1968. It becomes part of a group of five Olympic regattas which give score for the World Cup organized by the International Sailing Association Federation (ISAF). In its organization also participates Club Maritimo San Antonio de la Playa and Club Nautico Arenal. When the regatta coincides with Olympic Games, more than a thousand sailors come from more than 40 countries to participate in the Event.

Palmavela is possibly the more opened Regata in Spain because it offers the widest range of possibilities regarding the kind of boats that participate in. It was born in 2015 with the objective of grab big boats attention to come back sailing at Palma Bay. Our references were Cowes or Key West Meetings. Palmavela has become soon in the Spanish Sailing reference because it offered technical quality to the boats ranging from a little boat with Latin rigging to a Maxi with 40 meters of length. It is celebrated the first week of May.
Copa del Rey is without a doubt whatsoever, the most known regatta in the Mediterranean Sea and it has the biggest projection in the Mass Media. It is celebrated the first week of August and more than one hundred boats participated in it. It has an open configuration and for this reason it has become more and more important in international sailing scene. It was founded in 1982 and Spanish Royal Family has been always involved in it.
One of the most important commitment of Real Club Nautico de Palma is the future sailors, and this is push it by Trofeo Ciutat de Palma Regata which every year in December gather children classes that came from around the world. Ciutat de Palma was founded in 1950 and it is the oldest sportive event in Balearic Islands. From more than a decade it has become a reference for Optimist Class around the world, every year more than 350 optimist came to the Island to participate in it.

Recreational Sailing passion was born in Nautical Clubs and this is where sailors are forged and in the future, the sea will become their main passion.

RCNP has a great worldwide reputation, and this is because one of its mains commitments is encourage sailing love and it is though Sailing and Canoeing School which every year get together more than one thousand kids.

Our kids start early to learn Sailing or Canoeing and our young teams have become the most powerful in Spain.
We promote our nautical activity as a way to give our sailors a healthy free time. Our work is introduced in a transverse way and any young sailor could know to sailing and join in the different competition teams.

Culture and Society

Real Club Nautico de Palma, according its statutes, is developing a social function through their interest in form young people, and this is big difference between other Nautical Clubs.

With the organization of international Regattas, RCNP has an important economic development that is always in expansion, and we can consider that thanks to a social contribution.

But RCNP is not only linked to sport, it is also linked to social events, and they are an important part of its task too. It makes up an important part of Palma Social life too.

RCNP usually celebrates concerts, exposures, conferences, talks, projections, gastronomic meetings and workshops. It has also its own Coral, which is formed by club members and friends. RCNP Coral regularly collaborates with other orchestras and Balearic Bands.
RCNP is a social revitalizing and it guide the sea culture spreading, but at the same time, it’s completely opened to promote other cultural demonstration.
